Tribute to the Feminine

My thoughts from the recent trip to Ibiza with ten beautiful women of various ages and backgrounds.

Picture this: Goddess retreat organized by a renowned yogi. Secluded white casa in the sun-washed hills of Ibiza. You can’t see the forest through the trees.

Ten women.  Mothers, stepmothers, soon-to-be mothers, and daughters from all over the globe. Scientists, nerds, all passionate yoginis. The span of 20 years between the youngest and the oldest. Two bathrooms. So many stories, dreams, and hugs. Tears of laughter and tears of compassion on tap.

I am writing this teary-eyed on the plane back, reading the kind words they each left me in the envelope. They really saw me. Will I see them again? Soon?

This was so unexpected. We hiked, nearly breaking our legs ;) on steep trails with no clear path, swam naked in the sea in bright daylight, chanted in Sanskrit, practiced yoga, talked, made Rudraksha malas together, ate well, and flirted with our chefs.

I needed this injection of strong feminine energy, full of awe, inspiration, playfulness, warmth, and acceptance.

These women… All women… strong enough to be portals for new souls to come into this world but soft enough for the subtle perception. The nurtures. Life creators. Toughest warriors. Reborn again and again. Finding their path, rising above the challenges, and flowing through life, untamed.

I saw them.

Fearlessly solo traveling the world, living a life of joy and adventure.

Pivoting in their successful careers against all odds.

Recovering from hardships.

Hot and feminine, with PhD in neuroscience.

Nuclear physicists turned yoginis, back-bending like physic-defying rubber.

Forging their path against the expectations of the world around them.

Hand-standing confidently with stability some don’t have while standing on their own feet.

Yogis, slaying in some of the toughest industries out there- strong as steel yet so intuitive.

If they can, it is possible. I will be cheering them on and following in their footsteps inspired.
